1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, improve efficiency, and provide information to site owners.

2. How we use cookies

We group cookies into three categories. Only the first is used before you make a choice.

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. On this site they do two things only: record the cookie choice you made, so we do not ask again, and remember whether you are reading in French or English.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with the site. We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate statistics such as which pages are visited, and Microsoft Clarity, which additionally records a replay of your visit: the pages you saw, where you moved and clicked, and how far you scrolled. Clarity hides what you type into form fields, so the name, email address and telephone number you enter on our contact page are not captured.
  • Marketing cookies: Used to measure and deliver advertising. We use the Microsoft Advertising tag, the Google Ads tag and the Meta pixel. They tell us when a visit followed one of our advertisements on Bing, Google, Facebook or Instagram, and they allow those providers to show you our advertisements elsewhere.

Clarity and Microsoft Advertising are both Microsoft products and share an identifier, so accepting both allows Microsoft to connect what it records on this site with the advertising profile it holds for you. Google Analytics and Google Ads are connected in the same way. Their processing is governed by the Microsoft privacy statement, the Google privacy policy and the Meta privacy policy.

3. The cookies we set

Lifetimes are the maximum; a cookie is refreshed each time you return. Those marked as set by Google, Meta or Microsoft are placed by that provider on its own domain rather than by us.

Essential

parkagenda_cookie_consent
Stores the choice you made in the cookie banner. One year. Set by us.
NEXT_LOCALE
Remembers whether you are reading the site in French or English. Expires when you close the browser. Set by us.

Analytics, only after you accept

_ga, _ga_*
Distinguish one visitor from another and keep track of a single visit. Up to two years. Set by Google Analytics.
_clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, SM
Identify a visitor and a session so the replay of your visit can be assembled. From the length of one session up to one year. Set by Microsoft Clarity.

Marketing, only after you accept

_uetsid, _uetvid
Record that a visit followed one of our advertisements, and connect a later action on the site to it. One day and one year respectively. Set by Microsoft Advertising.
MUID, MR, SRM_B
Recognise the same browser across Microsoft services. This is the identifier shared between Clarity and Bing. Up to one year. Set by Microsoft.

4. Your choice

When you first arrive we ask before setting anything beyond the essential cookies above. Nothing is requested from Google, Meta or Microsoft until you choose, and choosing "Only the essentials" means nothing is requested from them at all, on that visit or any later one.

To change your mind, delete the parkagenda_cookie_consent cookie in your browser settings and reload the page; the banner will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser, though some parts of the site may then behave unexpectedly.

5. Contact

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us via our contact page.
